Financial Benefits:

The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships 2023-24 in the UK offers a fully funded opportunity for students worldwide. Details of the covered expenses are provided below:

  • A return air ticket will be provided.
  • Full tuition will be covered.
  • Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of £1,236.
  • If the candidate's university is located in the London Metropolitan area, the monthly stipend will be £1516.
  • A study travel grant will be provided.
  • A clothing allowance for warm weather will be given (Where Applicable).
  • For widowed, divorced, or single-parent candidates, the following child allowances will be provided:
    • First child: £529/month
    • Second and third child: £131/month

Note: Children must be under 16 years of age.

  • A copy of your national ID or passport that clearly displays your photo and personal information.
  • Transcripts from all prior educational institutions.
  • A supporting statement from your supervisor in your home country.
  • A supporting statement from your supervisor at the UK university.
  • A letter of reference from another individual.

Eligibility Criteria:

To successfully apply for the Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships 2023-24 in the UK, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of a Commonwealth country.
  • British-protected persons are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants with refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country can apply.
  • Permanent residents of a Commonwealth country can also apply.
  • Applicants must be registered for a PhD program at a university in a Commonwealth country by the scholarship confirmation date (September 2023).
  • A connection between the applicant's host university and the UK's university is required.
  • Both universities' professors must provide supporting documentation confirming the candidate's eligibility.
  • Applicants must be available to begin their academic studies in the UK by September 2023.
  • Applicants must hold a Master's Degree by September 2023.
  • Applicants must be unable to study abroad without financial assistance.
