Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for an ETH Summer Internship in Switzerland, all applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- ETH Summer Internship is open to all students from around the globe.
- You must be enrolled in a study program (bachelor or master) in computer science or a closely related field (e.g., electrical engineering, mathematics, physics).
- Your expected graduation date from your current study program (bachelor or master) must be in the year following the internship or later.
- You must have completed two years of study by the start of the program (master students automatically fulfill this requirement).
- The internship lasts the entire two months of July and August, during which you must be present.
- The program will be conducted in English. While official IELTS OR TOEFL scores are NOT required, they will be considered during the interview process.

Question 1: I am currently in the middle of my third year out of four years of a Bachelor's degree program. At the time of application, I will be one and a half years away from completing my degree. Am I eligible to apply?
Yes, as you graduate only in the year following the fellowship.
Question 2: As a final year student in a Bachelor's program, will I be eligible to apply if I graduate before the fellowship begins (or shortly after)?
Unfortunately not. The programme is designed to offer research experience to students during their studies. If you finish only the year after the summer of the fellowship you are eligible to apply.
Question 3: If applicable, am I required to obtain the appropriate visa to participate in the programme?
It is your responsibility to obtain the required visa. The ETH Student Exchange office will assist fellows throughout this process. Visa expenses will be covered.
Question 4: Am I responsible for arranging housing myself?
Yes, accommodation will be arranged. We plan to house all fellows together in the same student residence. The cost of housing will be deducted from the scholarship.
Question 5: Is citizenship in a particular country a requirement for applying?
This programme is open to students of all nationalities.
