Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for the HEC Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship:
- Applicants must be citizens of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
- Students must be at least 18 years old as of August 31, 2024.
- Applicants must have completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)/Intermediate or equivalent for admission to Bachelor's (Undergraduate) and One-Tier Master's degree programs such as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Doctor of Pharmacy (DPharm), etc.
- Applicants must have completed a 16-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent for admission to Master's (Postgraduate) programs.
- Applicants must have completed an 18-year degree or equivalent for admission to PhD programs.
- IELTS/TOEFL scores may be required, as specified by the Hungarian institution.
- All applicants must submit a medical certificate confirming their satisfactory health condition (issued no earlier than November 15, 2023). This certificate must be from a physician and state that the applicant does not have any of the following illnesses: AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, C, or any other epidemic conditions.
- If selected, applicants must sign a bond agreement on legal paper with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) stating that they will not change their field of study after receiving the scholarship. After completing their degree, they will return to Pakistan and serve the country for a period as determined by the HEC. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the HEC recovering a penalty amount from the candidate or their guarantor, as determined by the HEC.
- Applicants must meet all other requirements set by the host Hungarian university, Tempus Public Foundation, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
- If selected, candidates must submit a bond agreement.
