ICRC Essay Competition 2019 Program
The ICRC Essay Competition 2019 is now open for applications. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Pakistan is back with the 6th edition of its annual Bilingual Essay writing competition. This competition, initiated by the ICRC, has proven to be a valuable learning experience for all participants and for the ICRC itself.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) urges the people of Pakistan to actively engage in addressing societal challenges and contribute towards finding solutions. Last year, the ICRC received 1400 submissions on the theme of "Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities". The organization is optimistic that they will receive even more entries this year.
This essay explores the concerning trends of violence directed towards healthcare workers and facilities.
This competition welcomes participants of all ages and professions. Whether you're a current government official, a retiree, or anything in between, you're eligible to participate. The only requirement is that you are a citizen of Pakistan. Three (3) essays of exceptional quality, demonstrating both strong writing skills and professionalism, will be selected. The winners of this competition will receive a cash prize.
You are welcome to write your essay in either English or Urdu. The choice of language is entirely yours; feel free to write in the language you are most comfortable with. Please note that only one essay submission is permitted, regardless of the language chosen.
First Prize: Rs. 80,000
Second Prize: Rs. 60,000
Third Prize: Rs. 40,000
Important Note:
A plagiarism rate of 10% or less is considered acceptable. If your essay exceeds this threshold, you may face disqualification or a deduction in your marks.
Deadline: April 26, 2019.
Results will be announced in May 2019.
