Eligibility Criteria for Yenching Academy Scholarship:
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to qualify for the award:
- We encourage all international students to apply.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in their field of interest or be enrolled in an equivalent degree program, with graduation scheduled before August 31, 2024.
- Applicants must demonstrate an outstanding academic record.
- Applicants must have a strong interest in the interdisciplinary study of China.
- Applicants must possess a record of community engagement, extracurricular achievement, leadership potential, and social responsibility.
- Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency.

The following documents are required to apply for the Peking University Scholarship:
- Completed online application form.
- Personal statement (no more than 750 words)
- Statement of Research Interest (up to 1500 words, excluding citations)
- Updated Resume (CV)
- Official transcript(s).
- Diploma(s) or Certificate(s) of Enrollment.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- English Proficiency Test Certificate
- IELTS (Academic): Minimum overall score of 7.0
- TOEFL (iBT): Minimum overall score of 100
- Cambridge English Scale (Advanced): Minimum overall score of 185
- CET 6: Minimum overall score of 600
- TEM 4: Pass level of “良好” or above
Important Note: English proficiency test scores are not required for native English speakers or individuals who have completed a degree program (undergraduate or higher) taught in English. For applicants who need to provide English proficiency scores, the TOEFL or IELTS must be taken after September 1, 2022. Please note that we do not currently accept TOEFL MyBest Scores.
