Scholarship Details

Sabancı University offers three distinct scholarship types for graduate students, each designed to meet different academic and funding circumstances.

The Full Scholarship is the flagship award, available to PhD and MSc applicants with strong academic records and clear research potential. It provides 100% tuition fee exemption across all graduate programs, removing the primary financial barrier to high-quality graduate education. Recipients receive a monthly stipend ranging from 13,500 TL to 21,500 TL, with the exact amount depending on the program and degree level — PhD students generally receive higher stipends than MSc students. Accommodation is provided in university dormitories, with options ranging from shared to single rooms based on availability. Non-residents receive transportation support of up to 3,500 TL. All Full Scholarship recipients are covered by comprehensive private health insurance and receive a laptop computer to support their academic work. Additionally, the scholarship includes conference funding for one academic conference per year, enabling scholars to present their research and build professional networks.

The Project Scholarship is available to graduate and doctoral students engaged in major externally funded research projects — such as those supported by TÜBİTAK, the European Union, or corporate partners. The stipend is tied to the project budget but is guaranteed to be at least equivalent to the Full Scholarship stipend; Sabancı University commits to covering any shortfall.

The TÜBİTAK BİDEB Scholarship supports students applying through TÜBİTAK's National Graduate Scholarship Program (2210) or National Doctorate Scholarship Program (2211). Benefits include full tuition exemption, a standardized stipend of 1,500 TL, transportation support, health insurance, a laptop, and limited conference funding.
