About This Scholarship
The University of Carthage, in collaboration with the Hungarian Government, offers 250 fully funded scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year under the Stipendium Hungaricum Program. This memorandum of understanding between the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides Tunisian students a route to pursue full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees at public Hungarian institutions. The award covers full tuition, monthly living stipends (ranging from 43,700 HUF for undergraduates to 180,000 HUF for senior PhD students), housing support, and comprehensive health insurance. Eligible fields include STEM, social sciences, medicine, and the arts. Selection is competitive, based on merit, and requires nomination through the University of Carthage.

Eligibility Requirements

- Previous recipients of Stipendium Hungaricum at the same study level are ineligible
- Master’s and doctoral candidates must fulfill age restrictions and academic performance requirements
- PhD candidates require a research proposal and supervisor’s approval from a Hungarian host university
